19 things for my 19th birthday

ROLLY Mag

Happy birthday to me!

So much of my 18th year was characterised by Year 12. And that’s ok.

But, it’s life beyond Year 12, and beyond 18, that I am trying to process, and make sense of.

So to celebrate turning *nineteen*, I’m sharing 19 things- literally just things, random thoughts, etc. Enjoy!

1. Dogs are the best.

2. I am grateful to be living in a time when full eyebrows are a trend. I narrowly avoided the “pluck to oblivion” era. Blessed.

3. I’m a shopaholic and yes it’s bad, I know… but guess what, there are worse addictions to have. I’m working on it.

4. Everyone was right, you won’t remember your ATAR.

5. Stress feels different now. As in, you feel the stress in your chest. Last year when I was stressed, it manifested in such a way that I didn’t even know. #year12tings

6. Your vibe attracts your tribe.

7. Believe it or not, but getting sweaty at the gym is my favourite thing right now.

8. I can’t think about going back to study without being repulsed by the idea. Early mornings, writing notes, group assignments… is it for me?

9. I’m still adjusting to life outside of a classroom. And honestly, I’m struggling a bit. School held so much of my identity.

10. This time last year, life was so different. Imagine what life will look like this time next year.

11. Watching magazines close down and stop publication is hard. It was literally the end of a dream.

12. I don’t miss the school bus anymore, but I miss the school bus.

13. Rose gold is still my favourite colour.

14. I’ve stopped buying (or not buying) things based on whether or not they “suit me”. If I like it, I’m going to rock it, thankyouverymuch.

15. School really sucked the fun out of reading books. Now I can’t even look at a novel without wondering if the cover image is foreshadowing what’s to come.

16. There really is an empty space over my heart where my paw paw used to live in the pocket of my school shirt.

17. I can count the amount of times I have reverse parked on one hand. Go me.

18. Good things take time. Like the Lash Sensational mascara- it gets better as it dries out a bit.

19. The soundtrack to your life used to be “18” by One Direction and “18” by 5sos. The songs for 19 aren’t looking as great… Working on it.

I have to ask, do you have a song that you dedicate a year of your life too? Share it in the comments!

5 Winter Beauty Essentials

ROLLY Mag

Inspired by the lovely Laura, from The Life of Laura, I am sharing my 5 Winter Beauty Essentials.

Spot any of your faves?

Lanolips Coconutter Multi-Balm

Ain’t no surprises that my numero uno beauty product is a lip balm. Specifically, Lanolip. I’m not going to lie, when I first used this prodct I was like ‘wtf is everyone raving about this for?’ All I could think about was how overwhelmingly ‘sheepy’ it was. It bought back too many memeories of Year 8 camp at a farm. But, I got over that  by focusing on the coconut-i-ness. I love coconut so that helped. I reserve this only for nighttime use. I pop it on just before I go to bed, and wake up with soft lips- despite heating, icy winds, you name it. Fab! I used to be a paw-paw worshipper… literally ask any high school girl for a lip balm and I can bet you she’ll whip out a Lucas’ tube. But, paw-paw works to seal the moisture in rather than add moisture to your lips. So it makes sense to change your lip balm seasonally, because they do work to achieve different results.

St Ives Oatmeal and Shea Butter Moisturiser

This body moisturiser sits in my mind, categorically alongside Ponds face cream… simply because it is a cult classic of my Grandma’s. I’ve used it for YEARS. Like, maybe since I was eight? I repurchase it almost every time it’s on sale at Priceline, and always have a backup on hand. I love the smell and the feel, but… in winter I find it so hard to use moisturiser on my body. I don’t want to stand around waiting for it to try after a shower, I just want to jump straight into my pjs. It’s a double edged sword… because my body needs the most moisturising in winter when I give it the least. Working on it.

Palmer’s Coconut Oil Face Mask

I wish I could study beauty at university because it is honestly one of my fave things to learn about. I just about fell of my chair when I first heard (can’t remember exactly where but high chance it was on the You Beauty podcast) that you need to replenish your skin’s moisture after you’ve done a face mask. Shook. Seeminly obvious but something I’d never considered. So now when I face mask, I always double face mask. First with something stripping, like a detoxifying mask, quickly followed by this Palmer’s hydrating mask. It smells delish, too. Honestly, I usually just keep this mask on when I use it, because I mask at night time, I just sleep with it on! Wake up with soft, plump skin. Woo! It’s kinda like slugging, I guess?

Avene Thermal Water

My overpriced, water in a can you may say. Magical mist, I call it. Literally have no idea what it is about this but my gosh it is divine. I use it nightly after I apply my spot treatment either before or after I apply my serum. I literally coat myself in water, so much so it often drips down onto my neck. I love it! My skin feels instantly hydrating and I just don’t know what I’d do without it. I know La Roche Posay has one too- any one tried it? Thoughts / comparisons? Don’t think anything could make me stray from this Avene one though.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost SPF

Just because it’s winter, doesn’t mean we stop wearing SPF, right friends? I understand that it may not seem as important now, when it’s only a few degrees outside and pouring with rain… but hear me out. Instead of changing your attitude, change your SPF product! Mind blown? My old faithful Neutrogena Ultra Sheer just wasn’t cutting it for me in the cooler weather. In summer, I adore it. But in winter, it just wasn’t as enjoyable to use. So, I switched to a more hydrating SPF and it’s made it so much easier to incorporate into my routine, simply because of how it feels on my skin. I think that’s made all the difference. This year is the first time I’ve really thought about how I wear skincare… as in when and how I apply it. Maybe everyone changes their SPF come winter time and I’m late to the party- haha?

There we have it! Despite having so, so many beauty products, I only use a handful… so narrowing this post down to just five wasn’t too hard for me.

I’d love to know, could you narrow down your five winter beauty essentials?

Week Latte #18

ROLLY Mag

Fri-yay! Let’s get straight into it!

So, I’ve joined a gym. I go with my bestie to a range of classes and I’m honestly living my best life. We are both loving it! And that’s very unusual for us pizza loving gals. On Tuesday it’s my birthday and I’m still going to go to the gym (and eat copious amounts of cake of course because balance) – that’s where we’re at right now. I want to write more about my newfound love for the gym but for now, I am struggling with needing to wash my hair more often… Enjoyed this read about posy gym beauty.

Absolutely loved this post that Sally featured on. As much as a I love beauty, personalised posts like this where you really get to “know” someone are sooooo interesting.

And speaking of, I published by first guest blog on ROLLY Mag this week, with Emily from Emmies Beauty Life taking over Blogging BTS! Really cool to get a different perspective.

Mamamia posted their first reader edition of In Her Bag. Such a fun read. I’m definitely going to apply to be featured myself!

How cauuuuuute is this Ofra set from Glam Raider. They had a 15% sale earlier this week and I was so tempted to buy it… but I held off because they often do 20% off sales so I’m going to wait for that #willpower.

Speaking of sales however, I did buy up good in the ASOS 25% off sale. Justification ? Never seen this Carmex flavour, cute set, Kelly From You Beauty loves Squalene so I probably will too (beauty logic), and I have actually been eyeing up this palette for a bit soooooo ?? Also, I love the fact the Makeup Revolution is now at Priceline so I can test things in person but I don’t think I’ll buy much from there because they aren’t likely to ever be on sale, whereas other sites do have the products on sale. Just a thought.

Aren’t Insta friends just the best!? Hiuy gave me a few product suggestions which I am so grateful for- including this Innisfree range. I love the brow mascara and face masks from Innisfree but am yet to try anything else. Hiuy, I blame you for the shopping to come 😂 How fab is this blog post by Camille that Cortney has been inspired by.

If you need some last minute Priceline sale buys, Katie’s got you covered!

Finally, you all know how much I love V&Me. They are soooo close to 10K- give them a follow if you haven’t already. Reaching 10K is more than a number, it’s about enabling small business access to the “swipe up” feature.

And if you need any more reason to #supportsmallbusiness, use the code LOVEIT for free shipping!

Have a fab weekend friends!

Blogging BTS #4 by Emmies Beauty Life

ROLLY Mag

Happy Wednesday and welcome back to another post in the Blogging BTS series.

I am sooooooo excited to kick off the “guest blogger” segment of this series with the wonderful Emily from Emmies Beauty Life.

Emily has some really interesting answers, so I hope you find this insightful. If you do have any more questions for Emily or I, as a part of the Blogging BTS series, please do leave them in the comments section.

Follow Emily on Instagram.

Read her blog, Emmies Beauty Life, here.

How long have you been blogging/had your IG?

I’ve been running Emmie’s Beauty Life since 2018, but I’ve been on and off IG since 2014

What was the first item you were ever ‘hashtag gifted’?

I had an Aussie subscription service reach out to me when my blog was still relatively new. That was pretty awesome.

Do you reach out to brands to collaborate? Or do you wait for them to approach you?

A combo of both.

If you don’t reach out to brands, why not?

Because I’m always worried that when they figure out where I live, they’ll say ‘that’s too far away’.

If so, have you ever been rejected by a brand for a collaboration?

I’ve had a few brands give me the ‘you don’t have enough follower’s’ response. I won’t name names.

Have you ever reached out to a brand and received no response?

I can’t say that I have to be honest.

Have you had a ‘pinch me’ blogging moment?

When Jeffree Star reposted one of my photos! That was huge for me. Also when some of my pictures were used in an online article for Who Magazine (for the sake of clarity, I knew the author of the piece and she asked me specifically if she could).

Can you think of a time when your following (as in, the number of followers you have) has ever disadvantaged or benefited you?

Only ever disadvantaged. I know that living where I live, I’m never going to be in contact with the major brands or have the opportunity to speak face to face with the right people. Where I live doesn’t exactly have a huge beauty community.

Who is your dream brand to collaborate with?

Either Mecca or Priceline. That would be a dream come true.

Is it your goal to make blogging a full time job?

It would be awesome, but I know it isn’t realistic either.

What’s one PR package you wish you received?

Recently? Any of the Mecca PR boxes! Especially the Glow Recipe ones.

If someone said ‘what do you do?’ would you say ‘I’m a blogger?’ Why/why not?

If someone asked me what I did for a living, no. If someone asked me what I did as a hobby in my spare time, maybe.

Do you have an issue with the algorithm?

Doesn’t everyone? In all seriousness, I do feel it sometimes. I remember back in the good ole days, when the timeline was chronological and we all saw each other’s posts and nothing was buried under obnoxious ads.

What’s one condition you would never agree to with a gifted or sponsored post?

If I don’t like the product, I’m not lying about it.

What is one of your conditions that a brand must agree to in order to collaborate with you?

I would prefer to not have a set time that I need to get the post up. Only because things take a while to get to me and I do like to take my time when I’m testing a product out.

Have you ever had a negative experience with a brand?

I can honestly answer this with no.

For the sake of this question, we are calling you (and me!) an ‘influencer’ (or micro-influencer’): Can you give us just a general overview of your opinion on the whole ‘influencer’ space? Do you trust ‘influencers’ opinions?

I have a real love-hate relationship with that word. Even though I guess I am one these days. It does make me feel a little uncomfortable for reasons that I can’t really explain. In terms of trusting opinions, I already do research via other peoples blogs before spending my money on new products. I always take those opinions with a grain of salt because everyone is different and what might work for them, might not work for me. It’s all about managing expectations.

Share the story of how you gained a gifted item? From the initial contact, to the post of the item etc. Was it smooth sailing?

I had a PR company reach out to me and send me an application to try one of their brands products. I filled it out, forgot about it for a few weeks (being realistic here). Got the OK that I was being sent the product, got it sent to me a few weeks later and I’m currently testing it for review. Took a little while, but overall, not too bad!

Name three bloggers who admire and why.

Camille at On A Beauty Bender: Single handedly has gotten me to spend more money than any other blogger that I follow.

Ebony at The Black and White Guide: Have loved her blog for years and is probably my biggest inspiration to get into blogging. Also, has the coolest cat!

Lara at Rivetlicker: One of the first people I followed back when I first started IG and someone I consider a good friend. The work she has done for the cruelty free side of the beauty game is truly admirable.

Thank you so much Emily, for being a part of Blogging BTS- it was an absolute pleasure to work with you and I loved reading this myself!

August Editor’s Letter

ROLLY Mag

Hi everyone!

I was initially going to call this post ‘A Life Update’ but then I thought ‘LOL WHAT A CLICHÉ’ so decided against it. And then I remembered that I hadn’t posted an Editor’s Letter this month-oops. So, um, here it is, I guess.

My absence from the blog has been due to a temporarily increased workload at my ‘day job’ which has left me feeling very tired come the end of the day and with little energy left to spend on the blog.

I’ve even slowed down with IG posts, because I’m either at work or too tired to be engaging with a post.

I honestly don’t know how people can work full time, and have a life outside of their job. It’s tiring!

But, to ease myself back into the blog I thought I would just do a brain dump of a few things.

I have quite a few draft blog posts saved but I hadn’t even had the energy to tie up loose ends on those posts, so you lucky things get this random post instead.

The Flower Beauty Concealer:

Such. A. Hype. And look, I enjoyed it on my face. It covered blemishes very well. But under my eyes, it creased!!! And I don’t even have under eye creases. Honestly, not so sure how that came about. But it really just does not agree with me for that particular use.

Big W Buffing Brush:

I bought this brush ages ago in the clearance section for eight bucks, and omg, it’s amazing! I wish I could link it for you. I’m so impressed and use it to blend my concealer- very happy! I also have a buffing brush from Target but I don’t enjoy that as much. Annnd I have a Chi Chi one but I’m yet to use it.

My birthday:

You are probably well aware that August is my birthday month because I keep harping on about it- but honestly, August came around so quickly and I freaked out because I had nothing planned. But then, I had a stroke of genius and have teamed up with my bestie to have a joint birthday party. My birthday is August 20th and hers is September 15th, and we have booked a hotel room for our friends to stay in during early September. Soooooo excited! I can’t believe we hadn’t thought of this before.

I’m almost more excited for the fact that our ‘lolly bags’ are going to be filled with face masks, chocolates and other fun bits and pieces. Any suggestions?

Random Acts of Kindness:

Recently, I’ve sent out a few packages to some followers of mine who are continuously supportive of ROLLY Mag. I have so many beauty products, that I felt it was only right to pass them onto homes where they’d receive more love. The only negative to this is that I wish I could send a ‘thank you’ package to everyone on IG! But, Aus Post gets expensive so this isn’t always possible. And also, I think we can show our appreciation for people simply by supporting their content as well. I just wanted to tell you this as a reminder to check in on those followers who are always commenting and liking your posts. Where possible, you should do the same to them. It’s the equivalent of giving them a hug. But on the internet ha. I’ve also received a few packages like this from some lovely followers, and honestly, I didn’t know that such kindness could exist in the online world. But the Aussie beauty community I have found is just the best. It reminds me of the saying…

“Your vibe attracts your tribe.”

The Health Code podcast:

Alright, I know I said that I was working a heap and that’s why I slacked off on the blog… But the particular podcast episode that I want to share with you will tell you why you shouldn’t do that. Kurt and Sarah give some tough love about sacrifice. And I agree with them. Nothing good comes easy. I think I definitely will be able to integrate some of their advice into my life. So my blog is my passion… and yes during my busy working period I gave it up. That was a choice I was happy to make. But if you’re unhappy with the choices your making at the expense of your passion and goals- give this a lesson. Because you’re not alone.

Also, should I say that I was busy working for about a week… which isn’t all that long. But it’s potentially seven IG posts and at least three blog posts… so it’s a significant amount of time being ‘offline.’

Anyways, if you got this far- thank you!

Hope you have a fabulous day, and please- share your ‘life updates’ in the comments, however mundane they may be!

Blogging BTS #3

ROLLY Mag

Do you ever notice that sometimes every second photo on your feed is of the same product?

It used to annoy me- honestly.

Because it felt fake… when sponsored posts appeared at the same time. Almost as though the products were too good to be true.

But, being on the other side of it- now as both a consumer AND creator- I understand how and why it happens.

I received an email from Sweaty Betty PR about receiving some Du’it products for review and that week, saw a few Du’it posts on my feed.

When I first saw the email, I thought ‘wow, this looks so professional for a scam’.

Because there was no way that Sweaty Betty PR would be contacting me.

But I checked the email in Google and it seemed legitimate, there were no typos or errors- so out of curiosity, I contacted Du’it on Instagram.

‘Hi Du’it team. I have recently received an email from Sweaty Betty PR about trying some of your products. I absolutely would, however I am just hoping this email is legitimate. And so, I’m just popping by here to ask if you are represented by Sweaty Betty and if I can trust this email? Many thanks.’

In the days following, before I got a reply from Du’it, I saw that K received a package of Du’it products from Sweaty Betty.

I messaged her straight away, shocked, and asked if she too had got an email from them.

She had, and commended their superfast reply. She replied one day, and received her package the following.

K said she replied accepting the offer, but assuring the brand that her review would be genuine and honest.

Around the same time, Du’it messaged me back and said they were represented by Sweaty Betty but to send a screenshot of the email for them to double check.

I now realised that actually, wow yes, Sweaty Betty had emailed me!

I learnt, from K via this experience, to always make sure the brand understands your terms of review. My review will be genuine- if a brand wants me to say something fabricated (I’ve not yet had this happen to me)- I don’t think I could work with them.

As you know, my Du’it products arrived and I used them (and continue to!). They are actually fab- especially the VE+ Face cream… I am so impressed.

I emailed Sweaty Betty back recently to say I had fulfilled the terms of exchange (review, stories and IG post) and thanked them for the experience.

They replied back with an opportunity to receive some White Glow tooth products- which I’ve accepted.

Whilst hand cream and toothpaste aren’t as exciting as new makeup, I’ve definitely learnt since receiving my Du’it products, that beauty is inclusive of your whole body. And it is more than looking good, but feeling good too.

So, I’m excited to try some new toothpaste… although I’m stumped on what I’ll do for an Insta pic haha.

And to be honest with you, hand cream isn’t something I would usually buy myself. And toothpaste is something of which I don’t really take much consideration in what I choose.

So if I can try these products for free- yeah, I will! I’m hustling, you know?

Of course, I still have my limits of products that I would not try because they do not align with me personally, or professionally, but I am yet to be presented with these.

Hope you’ve enjoyed me sharing this BTS series!

Week Latte #17

ROLLY Mag

Hello everyone and happy August, aka MY BIRTHDAY MONTH!!!

Yes, I’m that person who celebrates throughout the whole month, and sometimes it spills over into September 💁‍♀️

I do this mostly because it is justification for purchases haha.

“Should I get it?… yes it’s my birthday month!” And so on.

June through to September are actually incredibly busy months for me in regards to social events and birthdays. So I am definitely gearing myself up for some spendy times ahead.

My best friend and I have actually decided to do a joint birthday celebration at the beginning of September which is soooooo exciting.

But like I said… spendy.

There’s not a lot of time to save for it nor a lot of opportunity for saving this month. Wish me luck!

My fave post this week was my feature on Cortney’s blog, as part of her “Chat With…” series. So exciting! Have a read and show your support here.

Daisy shared this fab monthly faves blog post and upon her recommendation, I’ve started listening to the Walk the Talk podcast!

These workout tights have pockets! Yay!

I actually went to Kmart this week and bought some new work out gear. I haven’t bought any in years. But it’s kinda a way of saying to myself, “alright you should go to the gym now” 😂 Still waiting for that to kick in.

I really enjoy reading informative posts like this on IG. I know my own habits, I read a few of the same blogs and don’t really venture beyond that. And you guys voted in a poll I did a while back that you would prefer to see product reviews on my feed than on the blog- I don’t blame you, it’s so convenient. I’m enjoying that format too.

I love saving blue eye looks to try and recreate. How stunning is this.

Mint and Moss have 40% of scarves and beanies this week… shop quickly, because winter certainly doesn’t look like it’s leaving Melbourne any time soon!

Another fab podcast I listened to this week came from my fave Bachie contestant Laura Byrne (and co host Brittany Hockley), Life Uncut. I’m a sucker for reality TV, particularly the Bachelor franchise… so I am all here for this girl boss duo. Anddddd it’s so interesting to hear the BTS on their Bachie experiences.

More Bachie related links… the best part about this show is the recaps that come from it- like this one. Dead 😂

I am sooooooo in love with this eyeshadow palette… WANT!

Sister Club members, make the most of this extra 10% off at Priceline!

Emma curated a list of realistic “morning routines” which I’m like, yasss, this is the kinda thing I like to watch!!

Speaking of videos, I love watching Rachel’s “week in the life” videos… I would love to have a YouTube channel but 1) privacy and 2) I would just ramble lollll.

Emily shares her July Bella Box First Impression, which makes me so excited because Bella Box are gifting me the August Box! Can’t wait to share that with you soon.

A few fab deals at Paula’s Choice, but I’m like ahhh where do I even start!

Buy 2 get 1 free on Scrunchies at Rush Rush Co using the code “scrunchiestack”!

This week I got my giveaway prize from Ree and it included the Anastasia Beverly Hills Prism eyeshadow palette and oh em geeeee I get it!! I GET IT!!! As in, I get the hype. It is truly stunning. Feel so grateful! Thank you Ree x

Hiuy has an amazing giveaway happening right now… which I wanted to share because you have to be subscribed to her YouTube channel to enter- do that here. She’s a babe!

@littelbeauty_reviews introduces themselves on Insta which is sooooo fun! Hi Lily and Bea! Be sure to give these Aussie girls a follow. Finally, I joined Fohr today. Not really sure what it’s about, but I see that @beauty_withlauren and Cortney use it so I figure it’s a worthwhile tool to have in the blogging game. I’ll let you know how I find it.

Chat With…

ROLLY Mag

I am so excited to share that today I am featured on Makeup With Cortney (my Internet bff!) as part of her “Chat With…” series revival!

Of course, looking back I think “Ohh I should’ve said this / added this etc” so maybe we will have to do a Part 2 😆

I am so happy with the piece- the questions were fantastic and exactly what I would love to know as a reader.

You can read the blog post here.

Please share the love!

I’d love to do a “featured” post section on my blog… I’m still brainstorming! Any suggestions?

And lastly… Thank you for all of your support Cortney. I really appreciate our friendship.

July Favourites

ROLLY Mag

I think, this is my first time in my short blogging life, that I’m uploading a favourites post… omg go me!

I see other bloggers do these every month and I’m like, damn, I gotta remember to do that!

This month I actually put it in my calendar… and luckily, because there is no way I would’ve remembered otherwise.

Let’s get to it!

Revlon Face Roller

Have I told you on the blog before that I really don’t understand the beauty fridge hype? Like, can’t your beauty products just go in your regular, food fridge? Make a space for them! That is, however, not the point of me sharing this.

The point is, so often I see these face rollers in beauty bloggers fridges. But is it just the Melbourne weather or what because this bad boy is so cold just sitting on my bedside table!

I’ve had this for a fair few months, but honestly forgot about it.

Sooooo glad I have no discovered it.

More than anything, it’s fun to use!

I’ve not noticed any crazy de-puff-ing effects but I’m enjoying using it.

You can buy it very cheaply from Priceline here.

Australis Fresh & Flawless Face Powder

I bought this with high expectations… it was replacing my beloved Body Shop Powder Foundation so it had a lot to live up to.

And, I’m happy to report that it does live up those standards!

It is a bit more powdery than the Body Shop one, but I find it works really well and setting and magnifying my oily skin. Love! And, so affordable, of course.

Du’it Vitamin E Face Cream

I didn’t know I needed this… but let me tell you- I needed it and so do you. It is sooooo lovely to use under makeup as a primer- smooth, creamy and dries slightly tacky which makes for the perfect base.

The directions are to use up to twice a day or as needed, and I think it’ll be really nourshing- but I’ve only ever used it for makeup purposes.

MCo Beauty Lip Gloss

Sorry lovelies, this exact one was from the Mother’s Day collection but Mco do have other lip glosses. The colour of this one is gorgeous- I love it! A gloss is so fun and easy to wear (when my hair is up haha)

Sally Hansen Diamond Strength

My poor nails were struggling when I went through my stage of having them painted the whole time. But this strengthener is amazing, my nails are renewed! I’ll definitely use this as a base coat in future too.

Homemade toner

Ok this toner was a homemade job, 3 parts water to 1 part apple cider vinegar. Doesn’t sting but does make me smell like salad dressing when I spray it. I haven’t noticed any crazy effects so I think I might try plain ACV on my spots to see if it works like that. But I wanted to share in case you have any suggestions for other homemade concoctions.

Subi Pimple Patches

You can read my full review of Subi here but basically: they are the best! Super effective, practically invisible and really good value for money. Love! These were kindly gifted to me.

Thanks for reading!

Week Latte #16

ROLLY Mag

Another week, done!

I’ve really been hustling this week in regards to working on the BTS on my blog and “career” (that sounds so grown up omg!)

I updated my resume on Canva and wowwwww it’s so snazzy now! And it also helped me cut down the info that wasn’t as important.

And also, I was accepted on to BYS Cosmetics’ PR list. I’m really hoping I get to try their amazing new Crystal collection and their luxe lippies. I contacted them- which shows that if you put yourself out there, you’ll get rewarded. I’m so grateful and excited. ❤️ That’s @mrkendenis showing off some amazing BYS products in the top pic 🤗

And as always, spending lots of money on beauty. Ha.

Final call, my 1K Giveaway ends tomorrow night! Enter here.

Emma shared her Money Diary for a week during Mercury Retrograde… feels.

Speaking of money, I’ve been listening to the She’s On the Money podcast… challenging myself to listen to something other than You Beauty 💁‍♀️ It’s actually like You Beauty, but for money- profesh advice, listener questions etc. I’m really enjoying it, and learning SO. MUCH. Plus, their Insta is so relatable… Exhibit A.

My initials are LK… but I’ve always loved Lauren Conrad and Leigh Campbell and kinda wish my initials were LC 😂 How cuuuuute is this accessories brand, Title Theory.

More cute monogramming, I bought this phone case from Olivia & Co this week.

I adore this series by Apartment Therapy… Eloise was/is one of my favourite cartoons 😍

New from DB Cosmetics.

Mco Beauty is half price at Woolies! This is what I’ve bought… (so far)

One of my LOVELY followers sent me this Sportsgirl lip scrub when it was in the sale, but I couldn’t find it near by. Literally, I have met the most generous people through Insta… so grateful. (And how cute she made it Christmas in July themed!!)

Cortney shared her review of The Quick Flick review, and a discount code!

Omg I could feeeeeeel the cringe reading this post– too good 😂😂

If you have a new blog post, be sure to message me on Insta or in the comments and I’ll included it in the Week Latte series 💁‍♀️ #ShareTheLove

Happy weekend everyone, thanks for reading xx
