Brain dump…

The foundation I am wearing above needs to be shared… it is the Loreal True Match Nude Plumping Tinted Serum. I have only a little bit on here, but it is perfect for applying with fingers for very buildable coverage and a beautiful satin finish. Such a winner. Buy it on sale though 😉

Last week, I went to see a talk by The Resilience Project. It was my first time really getting to know the brand/initiative/movement (whatever you call it haha!) and I was so impressed. My key takeaways were the tips to finding happiness; gratitude, empathy and mindfulness.

I really encourage you to have a look into TRP yourself and see what you can get out of it. They have books and a podcast so lots of content to enjoy.

I am training to become a Body Pump instructor and I think I will draw upon a lot of mindfulness tips in my teaching.

Content I enjoyed…

People pleasing and capitalism go hand in hand, I find. I’m currently trying to mend my relationship with both. And so, it was comforting to read this; death to people pleasing.

A yummy chocolate cake recipe!

I watched Fabulous Hannah’s newest vlog (after not watching her for a while, no reason just Tik Tok took over hahah) and it was so comforting and cosy.

Something I’d recommend…

In the spirit of TRP I chatted about above, I’m sharing one of the tips for incorporating gratitude into your life. At the end of each day, write down three things that went well for you. Not three things your grateful for, not three amazing things… The idea of this exercise is to train your brain to see the positives. Even if you didn’t have a great day. And this way you are likely to find different things every day and it won’t be receptive and boring like listing three things you’re grateful or could be.
